So, I'm starting this blog for my reporting class at Metro State College of Denver. I have no idea what I'm supposed to write about but i guess I'll just update you on what I've been up to this week. Sunday I spent all day at work (Tokyo Joe's on Hampden and Santa Fe in Englewood) manning the fort by myself as I usually do on Sundays. Pretty uneventful, unusually busy for a Sunday so I was basically just running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I tried to get some reading done for my Psychology class on my break but ended up just going to the bar next to my work with a coworker which wasn't very productive.
Monday I woke up with a horrible cough and decided to stay home from class and try to catch up on my reading which turned out pretty well. I then proceded to go to work at three and worked sushi all night. It was a pretty easy night for me with not much prep to do. I came home at the end of the night and watched That 70's Show until I fell asleep only to be rudely awakened by my alarm to get up, take a shower and walk to class. And that pretty much brings you up to where I'm at now.
I'm jealous that you have a fast-paced job,
ReplyDeleteat mine, i just stand there and time goes by SOOOOO slow!
I am trying to work on the whole psychology reading thing as well (I think we have that class together) and find it useless. I walk into my kitchen and grab a beer then sit down with my son and chill. Your job seems tireless but fun, and it's always nice to get along with your co-workers.
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to come visit you at work sometime soon. I have yet to eat there!
ReplyDeleteKimberly-TOKYO JOE'S IS THE BEST! I like to get half rice half noodles in my bowl. Is that a common request? I'm sorry to see you haven't been feeling well, it seems like everyone is sick I missed almost the whole week last week and am sitting at work right now trying to get all these blog comments done so I can start on more homework! I like my job too, I work @ luluemon at the Park Meadows Mall. It's a yoga clothing store (of course) and obviously I just can sit on the computer and "blog" =)
ReplyDeleteHey - I've been to your Tokyo Joe's; it was a while ago though. I hope you have a quick recovery so you get back to reading all about psychology. There are crazy people abound so pay specially close attention to the social disorders.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm hungry for Tokyo Joe's!
ReplyDeleteHey - when all else fails, write about your day to day existence. You never know when the most mundane of occurrences will suddenly morph into the most interesting and entertaining anecdote of your week...
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Tokyo Joe's had sushi! Ok you caught me, I've never actually been in a Tokyo Joe's, but way to be more productive than me in class! Mmmm, sushi.
ReplyDeletehey man, good stuff, if life gets you down, just go to the bar, haha!
